Meet Josephine Kim
Korean-American violinist Josephine Kim performs with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, Symphony in C, and the Music in the Mountains Festival Orchestra. She also appears regularly with the Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players and Laós Chamber Music. Other orchestral engagements include performing and touring with the 2023 Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra. Josephine currently serves as a guest teaching artist at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and as a violin sectional coach for the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra. She is pursuing her Master of Music degree at the Yale School of Music, where she studies with Soovin Kim, and previously earned her Bachelor of Music and Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University under the guidance of Vadim Gluzman and Qing Li.
