Jolie Fitch

Meet Jolie Fitch

Jolie Fitch is a flutist and educator based in New Haven, CT. She is currently pursuing her studies at the Yale School of Music under the mentorship of Tara O'Connor. In March 2025, she was named a finalist in the Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia’s Young Artist Competition. As part of her time at Yale, Jolie performed with the Yale Philharmonia and violinist Augustin Hadelich at Carnegie Hall in January.

She earned her Bachelor of Music degree in 2024 from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Catherine Payne and Tim Day, and received the Dean's Award for academic achievement. Dedicated to fostering a collaborative and inclusive musical community, Jolie premiered numerous works by student composers and helped establish several chamber ensembles. In 2024, she performed with the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players in a concert featuring the music of Frank Zappa.

In addition to her studies, Jolie is passionate about teaching and community engagement. She currently works with the Music in Schools Initiative, which provides free music instruction to public school students in New Haven.
